This festive season, non-surgical beauty procedures are a great hit among women who want to look good instantly.

Dresses, expensive jewellery and beauty salons top the to-do list of many women as the festive season approaches. Apart from other regular beauty treatments, some of them will be taking Botox shots to augment their beauty and youthfulness. With the experts promising no side-effects, the treatments are fast becoming a trend.

Adding new dimensions to the concept of beauty, the economically loaded women are spending good money this season to look younger and better. “In the last couple of weeks, we have been really busy because women want to look good during festivals,” says Dr Chiranjiv Chhabra, a senior dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, who owns skin clinics in Delhi and Gurgaon.

SkinNon-surgical procedures are slowly but steadily gaining popularity, among the upper middle class women. Experts are also witnessing an increase in the number of women willing to spend money on skin corrections ahead of the festive times. "Every woman wants to look younger and attractive," Chhabra says. Botox treatments are pretty popular, and so are lip augmentation procedures, laser treatments and juvederm voluma dermal fillers.

"Women nowadays are no longer content with mere facials. They go for treatments like Botox, face lifting and facial contouring. When you have non-surgical options so easily available and money in your pocket, you cannot help but go for them," says Dr Aman Verma, a cosmetic surgeon, who runs a clinic in Khan Market.

Apart from Botox and fillers, laser treatments for rejuvenation, complexion clearance and hair removal are also in demand. Disposable income and increasing awareness has led to the growth of the beauty market in the recent years, say experts. Anupama, 35, loves to experiment with her looks. "This is a season of festivals... you always want to do something special with yourself. We socialise and meet people during this time and so looking good is important," she says.

“I started having crowfeet and wanted to get rid of these. So I went for Botox," adds Anupama.

“While older women generally come for anti-ageing treatments, younger women want to get that perfect look so that they can make a lasting impression and can also be ahead in the beauty race,” Chhabra said.
