India's most spectacular fashion event Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, witnessed the launch of Hindol Sengupta's book. The book was launched by none other than the filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and the couture czar JJ Valaya with all the senior members of WIFW.
Hindol Sengupta, a journalist himself has come up with a book on fashion named Ramp Up, cutting the spice part from it the book talks about the business part of fashion, how it has evolved as a business, how it is becoming strong day by day and what else can be done to flourish it more.
Hindol all excited and elated said: "This is indeed a moment of pride and honor for me. I feel humbled by the response and the trust the industry has in me. As being part of the media. I have learnt a lot about fashion business from all these big names."
The book published by Pearson India is divided into two sections-one that includes quotes and details from brands Gucci and LVMH on how to build an international Indian fashion brand and other that talks about top fashion labels as a viable investment option.
"We are extremely happy to be supporting Hindol in his brand new venture. His book is a true representation of the business of fashion and hold tremendous amount of importance for us at the FDCI as it aligns with our aim- to grow and build Indian fashion," said Sunil Sethi, President FDCI.
Fashion czars like Tarun Tahiliani, JJ Valaya and Tina Tahiliani-Parikh; have contributed to this book by writing the foreword.
