Highlight Story

They used to be just about getting the right date, but now it’s all about sex, sin and high-definition glamour. Check out the various options Mumbai has to offer in the New Year to help you make new memories. We take a look at the calendars of 2011, from Pirelli to Kingfisher, designed to make you start your day with a smile.

The Calendar Elegante 2011: The newest beach bum calendar comes from architect-turned-fashion photographer, Harpreet Baccher. The black and white calendar features white beautiful things sporting swimsuits and posing across locations in Goa. Baccher plans to make his calendar an annual affair and has interpreted beauty through his lens this time around.

Elite calendar: One of India's leading model agencies, the Elite girls have always been among the hottest on the scene. Preening and pouting for the cameras, it's model Lisa Haydon's second calendar this year along with the Kingfisher issue.

Pirelli Calendar: Recognised world over as one of the sexiest calendars, this one was special for being the first time an Indian model featured on its pages. Laxmi Menon, India’s official supermodel entry to international fashion, bared it all posing with fellow hotties Erin Wasson and Bianca Balti.

Taj hotels Calendar: The Taj Hotels calendar features designs by India’s top designers like Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani, Wendell Rodricks and Anamika Khanna, along side promising young names like Sonam Dubal and Nachiket Barve. Inspired by the architecture and facades of some iconic Taj properties, the calendar chooses delicate aesthetics over in-your-face sensuality.

Kingfisher Calendar: India’s version of the Pirelli calendar, this one relies on three things- hot models, barely-there swimsuits and exotic locales. Featuring a healthy mix of Indian divas and foreign beauties, this calendar has its own reality TV show.

Dabboo Ratnani Calendar: An annual fix of Bollywood photographs for your desktop. This year around, Ratnani manages to get King Khan to pose with a milkman's cycle, while Big B is spotted with his iPad at a local barber's shop. Ratnani features Bollywood staples like the chiseled John Abraham and a kimono clad Aishwarya. This year's newest entry to mark your dates in Ratnani's calendar comes from Dabangg debutante, Sonakshi Sinha.

Campari Calendar: Finally a calendar that gives women some eye candy to stare at. Featuring a debonair Benicio Del Toro and set in a gangster movie portrait, this one was shot by Michael Comte with the right mix of dark beauties, guns and cocktails.
