Wondering which colour will suit you best? Here are some tips to help you sport the right hue according to your skin tone.
The first step is to determine your skin tone. The skin tone can be complimented with the use of right colour cosmetics.
People with complexions having blue or pink undertones have skin that is pale white, yellowish-olive or dark. They should wear colours that are sharp, stark and clear. White, black, navy blue, red and shocking pink go well with them. For lighter colours, wear icy tones rather than pastels. Avoid subdued tones like beige, orange and gold.
Those with golden undertones in their complexion should select warm colours like camel, beige, orange, gold and dark brown and avoid colours with blue tones, like navy.
With winters approaching, black will dominate everyone’s wardrobe. If you are not sure about a particular colour and want to play safe, then black is the colour of choice as it suits all skin tones.
If you find it tough to experiment with colours, then take a friend to a nearby store and try on a variety of outfits in varied hues. Ask your friend to help you choose the colours that suit you best. Else, you can carry a camera and click yourself in the colours before purchasing the clothes.
