She is a ravishing beauty, a celeb and an actor to boot. But the talking point has been her strikingly natural good looks. Actor Aditi Rao Hydari tells HT what makes her the beauty she is.

How do you take care of your skin?
My skin is very delicate, so, I am careful about protecting it because I don't use much foundation. Also nothing can compensate for seven hours of sleep. I like my skin to glow naturally, so when I'm not working, I keep it free of all make-up. I use a gentle soap-free face wash, milk and a simple moisturiser that has no chemicals. I also use sunscreen when I'm shooting outdoors.

What, according to you, is the secret to healthy hair?
Coconut oil massages and hair spas.

Do you prefer bold eye make-up or a softer, more natural look?
I love being au naturel, and using a striking lip colour. Nude lips and smudgy eyes also look great… it depends on how I feel.

What are the three beauty items you need to have with you at all times?
A cheek and lip tint, lip balm and a light sunscreen.

What does style mean to you?
Style is inherent; it is about being free-spirited. I believe our clothes don't make us stylish, we make them stylish. Style is about making the most mundane thing look stunning. It is about being happy, and being fearlessly and effortlessly unique.

Who is your style icon?
Audrey Hepburn; she is timeless and was just so effortless.

What is your Nykaa lip colour; one that makes you feel confident?
You are the only reason a lip colour looks great on you. I usually love natural, nude shades, but my favourite colour for a really striking look is a saturated red or deep oxblood.

What is the one style advice you would give to women?
Be unique, and do not be a fashion slave. No one is more beautiful and stylish than a fun and happy person.
