On lighter complexions, cold colours work very well. Taupes and greys are best suited to do smoky eyes. Try M.A.C eye shadow in Scene, Copperplate and Satin taupe to achieve great results. For the lips, vibrant pinks and soft corals are most complementary. Try shades like Impassioned, Chatterbox and Vegas Volt for a great pout. As for your complexion, include soft pinks and peaches in your colour palette. Use Pink Swoon, Peaches and Tenderling blush for naturally flushed cheeks and lipsticks in Faux, Freckletone and Hug Me for neutral lips.

Clothing: Fair women generally have peachy-pink undertones, which at times make their complexion look pale. Keep your look radiant and fresh with bright colours like pink, green and peach. You could go for the pink georgette sari by Manish Malhotra or the peach anarkali by Tisha. Even deeper colours like violet, blue and brown or a nude shift dress would complement your skin tone.

Jewellery: Metals should be used just as the base as they do nothing for the skin tone. Avoid 24k gold and go for white gold or 14k gold. Rose gold would also work, but it is essential that you add colours to your jewellery by wearing rubies, emeralds and onyxes. They complement the fair skin type.

Attempt the smoky eye with colours that have red or warm undertones — like M.A.C eye shadow in Folie, Swiss Chocolate or Twinks. Use a rich coral/orange, warm pink or red on your lips. Morange, Girl About Town and M.A.C. Red are some stunning options. Enhance your complexion with pinks and reds. Try blush in Mocha, Sunbasque and Peachykeen shades and lipsticks in Sweetie, Spirit and Half N Half.

Clothing: Try muted bright colours. Pastel hues like white, sky blue and soft pink bring out the best of your yellow undertones. Go for an aquamarine kurta by Gaurav Gupta or the pink knit dress. Stark colours like fuchsia, tangerine and cobalt highlight facial features better.

Jewellery: This skin tone complements both gold and silver. Add colour with stones and gems of various colours. They will do
wonders to your skin tone.

Achieve the perfect smoky eye with rich, warm and dark shades of black and brown. Try Embark, Carbon and Shadowy Lady. For your lips, pick deeper shades of red, plum and wine. M.A.C’s Viva Glam I, Chilli, Media and Rebel are some options. Use blush in shades like Ambering Rose, Raisin and Format, which are warm shades of plum, red and brown. Lipstick choices include Taupe, Polished Up and Double Shot.

Clothing: Experiment with bright, shocking colours like neon pink, juicy lime and other citrus shades. Avoid pale colours. Try the parrot green sari by Pia Pauro or a neon yellow drape dress by Gaurav Gupta. These electronic colours will make your skin glow and add colour to your cheeks.

Jewellery: This skin tone is exotic and sexy. Bright metal like gold along with diamonds, rubies or emeralds would yell for attention and definitely make people take notice. Avoid silver, as it may look a little tacky with your skin tone.
