1 Steam away impurities: Steaming your face regularly can help you keep your skin radiant and blemish free. It will force out hardened oil, grime and impurities from your skin and keep whiteheads, blackheads and acne at bay. But if you have a dry skin, steam your face only once every two weeks, as steams rips off natural oils from your skin.
2 Wash twice: Wash your face twice. The first wash will clean dirt, makeup, and oil from your skin. The second wash will cleanse away any remaining traces. Pat dry your face.
3 Lemon power: To prepare water for deep cleaning purpose boil mineral water over high heat. Once the water starts boiling, cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into the boiling water. Then cut the lemon into slices and throw into the pot. Remove the pot from the fire once you have added the lemon slices.
4 Steam right: Pour lemon infused hot water into a bowl. Sit in a comfortable position and drape a large towel over your head and bring it near the steaming water. Make sure to cover the sides of the bowl to avoid the steam from escaping. Close your eyes and position yourself at least 10 inches from the bowl. Steam your face for 10-15 minutes.
5 Moisturise: After you have steamed your face, rinse your face with chilled water to close all open pores. Gently pat dry your face, and moisturise with a light, water based moisturiser.
