Delhi all set for bridal couture at BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2015

The preview of the fashion gala took place in the city on Friday, with participating designers giving us a teaser of their collection. An initiative of Fashion One, the fashion week will travel to seven cities this time, with Delhi on the map between July 15 and 19.

The Capital is all set for a grand display of bridal couture, with the return of BMW India Bridal Fashion Week (IBFW).

The preview of the fashion gala took place in the city on Friday, with participating designers giving us a teaser of their collection. An initiative of Fashion One, the fashion week will travel to seven cities this time, with Delhi on the map between July 15 and 19.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presence of actor Sonakshi Sinha, brand ambassador for this edition.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Singh, Founder & MD, Fashion One International said, “This year the fashion week is bigger with talented designers and trendsetting partners. It will be a fashion extravaganza with fusion bridal couture and creative style.” Adding to the celebration, Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “We have enjoyed successful collaborations around the world and we are excited about our second partnership with IBFW, one of India’s most significant bridal fashion shows.”

On Swarovski’s association, Vivek Ramabhadran, Managing Director, Swarovski Professional India said, “In India, the art of couture comes alive most vividly at weddings. We are delighted to work with IBFW this season as a fashion partner.”

We are excited to see what the master couturier has in store. Loved the delicate sheer play and delectable blue that he gave us a glimpse of.

Tarun Tahiliani
His bride and groom seem to celebrate rich, festive hues. The velvet on the hemline and the ombré touch caught our eye.

JJ VAlaya
A fresh take on bridal couture, the designer gave a glimpse of his collection, with the bride dressed in refreshing shades of scarlet, pink.

Rina Dhaka
Sticking to her mandate of always doing it different, Dhaka’s preview look was high on dull gold for a confident cocktail bride.

Abu Sandeep
The mavericks were not present at the event, but their design gave us a glimpse of intricate details and rich bridal plum hues.

Falguni Shane
The duo were also not present, but we got a a glimpse of structured fusion for brides.

Anita Dongre
One for the minimalistic bride. We loved a peek into Dongre’s bridal baby blue and silver sheen.

Jyotsna Tiwari

Ashima Leela
The South Indian bride gave us a glimpse of the designer duo’s collection, with traditional vermilion red and layering.

Shantanu Nikhil
Known for their fusion drapes and mastering couture for the contemporary bride, the designer duo showed off a cocktail-perfect gown with a cinched waist, as a teaser.

Gauri Nainika
A monochrome bride has to be a confident one! We look forward to seeing more of the designer duo’s bold take on bridal cocktailwear.
