The evening was one that would be etched in style history. After weeks of preparation and unhindered excitement, HT City’s Delhi’s Most Stylish awards that raise a toast to the Capital’s style icons was held in the city on Thursday at the Oberoi, Gurgaon. As we celebrated the heady night that indulged in dollops of glamour, the city’s swishest and the most charming gathered over a sit-down gourmet dinner and free-flowing sparkling wine. The all-out glamorous ceremony hosted by HT City Editor Sonal Kalra awarded the winners chosen by an eminent jury.
The evening was made bright by the presence of stylish illuminaries from all walks of life, Bollywood actors, designers, cricketers, artists, business biggies and even politicians. Cricketer Virat Kohli who also won an award, designers David Abraham, Rakesh Thakore, Manish Malhotra, Shantanu Mehra, Rina Dhaka were among those in attendance. Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who won the Style Icon of the Country Award, added oodles of glam to the ceremony as the names of the winners were announced and their specific style quirks were described. All the winners were felicitated with special trophy editions of HT City, silver Ganeshas and designer stoles.
The third edition of HT City’s Delhi’s Most Stylish awards gave style enthusiasts of the Capital a chance to vote for the celebrity they believed is the most stylish. Thousands of HT City readers and Fever 104 FM listeners voted for their favourites over a few weeks. While the always-dapper politician Shashi Tharoor and the gorgeous fashion designer Ritu Beri got maximum votes from HT City readers, and won the People’s Choice Awards, Fever 104 FM Listener’s Choice Award was bagged by the suave and charming industrialist Malvinder Singh, who emerged as the favourite among listeners of this radio station.
