Pop superstar Beyoncé Knowles, 29, has gone from brunette to blonde, and sports Indian jewellery in the artwork for her new album, 4, released this week.
The singer is seen posing in a custom-made crown by desi designer Farah Khan Ali. “It’s a high like none other. The inspiration behind this crown is the goddess inside every woman, and Beyonce is perhaps the ultimate embodiment of this idea,” says Ali.
The piece was designed back in 2008 by Ali for the Runway Rocks Show in London, organised by crystal brand Swarovski. “I had no clue that Beyoncé had actually chosen the piece. After the show, it was with the brand and when they told me about two days ago that she’d opted to wear it for this shoot, I was thrilled,” adds Ali, who is actor Hrithik Roshan’s sister-in-law.
Her designs were also seen on the red carpet at the Oscars earlier this year.
