Getting that beautiful look doesn't always have to cost a bomb, provided you know how to be smart enough and choose and use your cosmetics carefully. We all tend to spend a tad liberally when it comes to investing in cosmetics, considering that we want to choose the best of brands for our skin. But spending on all the beauty enhancing cosmetics would burn a hole in our pockets.
But hey! have you ladies ever looked at your makeup arsenal and given a thought that many of our cosmetics can be used for more than one purpose. Act smart and become thrifty following these tips.
Here's a list of smart cosmetics:
Lip Gloss- So you thought that the gloss is only for colouring the lips? Think again. This essential item which every woman has can be used as an eye shadow. Just dab a drop or two on your finger and apply on your eye lids and you are good to go.
Blush/Rouge- Essentially a blusher is used to highlight the cheekbones but it can also be applied to the lips to give a fuller look, shimmer to lips. It can also serve the purpose of an eye shadow and also helps in contouring the face.
Shimmer- Also known as highlighter, it gives your face a dewy glow. It can be used on brow bones, cheekbones and lips. It can be used under the eyes to conceal dark circles.
Lip liner- Although using lip liner has gone out of fashion these days but those unused lip liners can be used as eye pencil/eye liner. It can even be used for defining brows.
Petroleum jelly- This product is the cheapest and a must have for every lady. We all know it helps condition and soften the lips but did you know that it can even be used as a mascara? Dab a bit of petroleum jelly on your fingers, run them horizontally across the tips of your lashes. Run a bit on your brows to keep them in order too. It is also the cheapest and effective make up remover.
