I am not creating outfits for anorexic people," says designer Vijay Arora, who has designed a wearable collection for yummy mummies, grandmas, young parents and "those who are real people and not model prototypes."
Arora held a preview of his collection, Anant at Kuki. The line, which will be showcased at the forthcoming WIFW consists of saris and denim jodhpuris for men.
Fabrics used in his collection are primarily georgettes and chiffons for saris and velvettes for the blouse. Says the designer, "It is for people who want to age gracefully So, the look is clean, . uncluttered and elegant." As far as detailing goes Arora has beautified his line with patti work from Aligarh.
Arora's role models for this collection are "yummy mummies and cool daddies" like Firoze Gujral, Rina Dhaka, Peter Punj and Naveen Ansal.
