Deepika Padukone, who walked the ramp for designer Wendell Rodricks on Monday, is very excited about working with her ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukherjee's next as she feels their pairing hasn't been explored yet. Aditi Caroli reports.

Clad in a white gown, Deepika Padukone looked like a beautiful Christian bride as she walked the ramp for designer Wendell Rodricks on Day Three of the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.

The actor on her outfit: "This outfit is very Wendell’s. The colour, the cut is very nice. It’s perfect for a bride who is getting married in Goa. It’s very practical but at the same time it makes you feel beautiful. If I have a Christian wedding, then he’ll make my outfit."

Kangna Ranaut, who was the showstopper for previous show by Shantanu Goenka, thinks Sonam Kapoor is the best dressed actor in B-Town. What does the Padukone girl think? "Kangna herself dresses very well most of the times. She’s one of the well-dressed girls that we have in our industry."

Deepika will be seen romancing John Abraham in Desi Boyz, which also stars Akshay Kumar and Chitrangada Singh. "Both John and Akshay are wonderful co-stars. They are coming together after Garam Masala. Our film is releasing on November 25. We had a great time shooting this film," said Deepika.

Deepika will soon be starring opposite her ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukherjee’s next. "Ya, I’m doing Ayan’s film. I’m very excited about it as it’s a love story. I’m glad that it’s with Ranbir as I think he is a wonderful actor. Our pairing hasn’t been explored yet and Ayan is the best person to bring the two of us together."

Runway report:

Minimalism is what defines Wendell Rodricks’s Moonlight Beach theme collection. The background created an ambience of a moonlit beach with live music of 60s and 70s by Zarine and the boys.

Designer on his collection: "I wanted to create an atmosphere of Goa and the mood of a rock party on a beach. And I am happy as Deepika walked for us."

"Oversized comfortable clothing is the next big trend for the coming season," says Rodricks.

White dominated the runway. Green, silver, blue, magenta and black were other colours from the palette. Cotton, linen and silk were mainly used.

The collection featured beach dresses, oversized shirts, bikinis, blouses, jumpsuits and gowns.

Rodricks showcased mens wear too. There were swimming trunks, lungi wraps, beach trousers, pyjamas, kurta shirts, bermudas, track suits, jackets and waistcoats.

It was definitely the most rocking show of the fashion event till now. A total thumbs up to the closing show of the day!
