Are you conscious of your extra curvy body and find it difficult to identify the perfect denim fit for your body shape? It’s a big challenge to find a snug fit that creates a slender look. Either the waist is too loose, if you buy a bigger size or the thighs of the jeans are too tight, at times. This common problem can be put to rest by following these rules while buying a denim.
Fabric: If your derriere is more full, pick the right fabric. Celebrity stylist, Rishi Raj says, “Look for fine and stretchable denim fabric, which is not very thick to wear.” Stretchable fabric will sit proper on your body shape without leaving any space at the waist. Initially, it might feel a bit tight but the denim will take the shape of your lower body after two washes.
Fit: Avoid wearing skinny fits, or make sure that your top is long enough to cover your hips and that it does not end at the widest part of your hip. Opt for slim straight fit, straight fit or slight bootcut jeans, which will balance your figure. Also, prefer mid rise denims and low rise, only if you do not have a paunch or side handles.
Colour or shade: If your hips are heavy, then it becomes compulsory to make your lower half appear slimmer. Thus, go for darker denim shades such as black, dark blue or charcoal blue etc. Raj adds, “Bleaches and washed denims will bring focus on your thighs, so avoid it completely.”
Get the right shape: Try wearing tummy shapers to iron out the bulges. Tummy tuckers can be used on a special occasion, as it might be difficult to wear it daily. They are easily available at lingerie stores and come in various sizes and fabrics to suit your purpose. colour of your denim wisely to camouflage your heavy bottom
