Whether you’re looking for a way to glam up tired eyes, or fancy doll-like wide peepers, easy makeup tricks up your sleeves and wonder items in your vanity case can do just that. The idea is to define and contour to enlarge your eyes. Here’s how:
Instead of the staple black kajal, define your eyes with a white swipe of brightness. Use a white liner on the waterline or even in the inner corners of the eyes for a wide-eye look. If white looks too stark on your skin tone, go for a champagne or beige hue.
Perk up the lashes with a bit of mascara for ‘big’ mission. Rather than stiffening them with double coats, let the focus be on curling and elongating. You can even use faux lashes.
Winged eyeliner can help in creating an illusion of bigger eyes. Make your cat-eye less costume-y and more party-ready by using more colour, rather than going the monochrome way. Use a bright blue with a touch of colourless shimmer to top it and embolden the look.
Below the brow
Use a highlighter, silver shadow or a creamy off-white liner or shadow to emphasise the area just below the eyebrows, or on the brow bone. This helps uplift your eyes and widen them a bit. Make sure that you merge the highlighted part with the hues on your eyelids so it doesn’t stand out in an odd manner.
The base basic
A lot of us suffer from baggy under-eyes that bring down our look quickly. Conceal these with makeup to make your eyes look bigger and more alert. If you don’t have the time to go through the entire primer-foundation-concealer routine, just use a BB cream that’s suitable for your skin tone to quickly cover up.
