Arjun Khanna will not be showing at the Lakme Fashion Week, which commences today. The designer, known for his menswear creations, will however make his presence felt at Mai Mumbai — a charity show presented by the Chatwal Group to raise funds for the victims of 26/11. Khanna will show four of his creations, that will be worn by select celebrities.
“As of now Kunal Kapoor, Gregory David Roberts and Vikram Chatwal have been confirmed. Saif (Ali Khan) will walk too, but I’ve yet to get the final nod from him,” Khanna informs.
He will give away a sherwani from his Smirnoff Black Collection for auction. Though Khanna has not created new ensembles for the charity show, he will lend the best of his previous collections — Yao, Sandstorm, Ice Cream and Shaadi.
Ask him why is he not showing at the LFW and Khanna says that he wanted time to experiment with other ventures. The designer reveals that he intends to launch a coffee table book and design soft furnishings. The rest, he says, he will reveal when the time is right.
About the show on
