Four Indian designers for Dubai Fashion Week

Four designers from India will showcase their seasonal collections at the Dubai Fashion Week to be held here from October five to nine.

Four designers from India will showcase their seasonal collections at the Dubai Fashion Week to be held here from October five to nine.

Vikram Phadnis, Troy Costa, Alecca Carrano and Charu Parashar will rub shoulders with the other leading and emerging names in the world of fashion from Gulf countries, Australia and Pakistan. The Spring/Summer 2009 edition will be the fourth seasonal installment of Dubai Fashion Week that aims to establish Dubai's position in the global fashion industry.

"Dubai Fashion Week is quickly gaining the reputation as one of the most important and must attend fashion trade events on the region's fashion calendar, not only for buyers but also for stylists and all industry insiders," Advisory board member for Dubai Fashion Week, Zayan Ghandour said. Dubai Fashion Week offers a platform to display the season's upcoming collections and trends for the retail buyers and fashion professionals.

"There is increasing enthusiasm for Dubai Fashion Week and each new season reflects this with a growth in interest," the Director of Fashion and Concept events Rohit Sabikhi said.
