It appears with a bang more than once a year, but the upcoming brigade makes no less noise than the Fashion Week. This season, six designers will make their debut at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Fall/Winter '08. Two of them will showcase their collection on the ramp, while the rest will exhibit at the stalls.

Ramp neophytes
Alpana & Neeraj, label: Azara They launched their label in 2004, but the Delhi duo had already worked with JJ Valaya for almost three years. They create both Indian and western desig ns, and will showcase a "very up market, chic western line at the Fashion Week." Their collection comprises kimonos, long flowing gowns, one piece dresses and tunics done in a "very vintage" colour palette.

Rahul Reddy, label: Rahul Reddy: The 29-year-old Delhi boy already retails at Ensemble in Mumbai and Delhi and Elahé in Hyderabad. He is into western wear and calls his collection, "everyday wear with a twist". A NIFT graduate, he did a PG diploma in graphic designing from the London College of Printing and worked as an assistant to Rajesh Pratap Singh for three years.

Stall tyros
Ankur and Priyanka Modi:
The husband-wife duo from Delhi will present a "complete black and ivory creation with a lot of hour glass-shaped garments ", informs Priyanka, a graduate from London School of Fashion.

Atsu Sekhose: His "controlled and glamorous" western collection draws inspiration from "North-east". A NIFT grad, he worked with Tarun Tahiliani before launching his label in 2006.

Aruna Singh: Forty oneyear-old Singh who has worked with Satya Paul and Muzaffar Ali, will bring to the fore woolen khadi.

Amishi Dhanuka: An accessory designer, she'll also make her debut this season.
