The thought of Eid conjures up images of ethnic wear and bright colours. However, overdoing it may spoil your look. Be it for the morning get-to-gether at home or a social gathering in the evening, make sure you pick the right dress and accessories.
“Eid is a bright and joyous festival. Wear bright fuschia, emerald green, scarlet red, orange, rich gold or eggplant purple, embellished with dull gold and silver threads. Interesting jewellery will add to your look,” says designer Payal Jain.
Being monsoon, humidity is high in the air, so go for light and oil-free makeup. “Apply loose compact powder instead of concealer or foundation. Go for light makeup in the morning. In the evening, use a vibrant eye shadow and retro eye-liner for your eyes. Colours such as pastel peach and light pink go well with Eid,” says beauty expert Richa Agarwal of Cleopatra Spa n Salon.
