Organising a wedding is quite a daunting task. Brides and grooms have to scout for the perfect venue and all elements that would be required to add that personal touch and grandeur. Amidst all this the couple also have to keep track of new trends, co-ordinate with their designer for an exquisite trousseau and follow a skin care regime for that glow on the final day.

Hotel JW Marriott, Juhu is hosting to a wedding fair Shagun ’09 at 3 pm onwards on Sunday. The lobby has already been decorated with a life-size wedding set up by Sudha Khanna.

The hotel has roped in around 20 professionals who specialise in organising various aspects of a wedding ceremony. So, you will find decorators, caterers, wedding gifts, wedding planners, bridal wear, photographers, florists, make-up artists and the like at the venue.

Faiek El Saadani of JW Marriot says that Shagun will not be a one off event and that they plan to host this fair every year. “The wedding season is at its peak around December. Hence we chose June for the fair to give families ample time to plan a wedding.”

Commenting on what prompted the hotel to jump the wedding bandwagon Saadani says, “It’s one of the strongest markets in India, with immense potential.”

The fair will be summed by a fashion show that will showcase bridal wear by Neeta Lulla. MAC will showcase make-up trends and the jewellery will be by Lalchand Dhalamall Sons Jewellery.
