Malini Ramani’s Grand Finale at the Lakme Fashion Week this season had glamour, colour and a collection that rocked the audience. Ramani’s gypsy theme show brought down the curtains on the Fashion Week at the Grand Hyatt on Tuesday evening.
Malini brought in her collection that was full of style and was filled with strategically placed embellishment with stones, beads, sequins and crystals. The collection also brought in the required element of drama that a finale should have.
Earlier in the day, Smriti Gupta presented a collection that was pleasing to the eye and was extremely wearable and stylish. Her colour coordination was well done and was noticed and appreciated by the audience.
Same was the case with Manju Agarwal, who also came out with her line that was full of style and elegance. Her line-up also included a wearable as well as well put together collection. The other designer Athithi Gupta, once again presented a collection full of style and elegance. So the day started pretty well.
Jattin Verma who made his debut at the LFW presented a collection that exuded creativity and style. While he kept his surfaces rather clean, he made sure that while being creative he does not cross the line of being wearable.
Vivek Kumar, on the other hand, showed his creations that were stylish and techno savvy with gadgets fitted on the outfits. Other interesting presentations included Abhi Rahul, Soltee by Sulakshna and Paromita Banerjee.
In the accessory presentation Eina Ahluwalia, Suhani Pittie, Malaga by Malini Agarwala presented very interesting accessories like neck and hand pieces. Rohan Arora’s footwear was interesting but could have been definitely better and repeat of spiral heel styles should have been avoided. Neeta Lulla presented her collection celebrating her 25 years in fashion.
In terms of business, designers say that this season has really been good. “I am very happy with the orders that I got and it was really nice,” said Hyderabad-based Asmita Marwah.
