Tom Hanks is going to be paid BIG money to reprise his role in the Da Vinci Code prequel Angels and Demons.
So huge is the amount in fact, that a source revealed to Cinemablend.com that it will make the payment of any other actor seem like a pittance.
“(It’s the) biggest salary ever paid to an actor in the history of Hollywood,” Moviehole.net quoted the source, as telling the site.
Hanks, who played adventure-seeking Robert Langdon in the movie adaptation of Dan Brown’s bestseller, will be reprising his role for the second time, despite Da Vinci Code not doing so well at the box office.
Langdon is a fictional professor of religious iconology and Symbology at Harvard University who appeared in the Dan Brown novels.
Along with Hanks, the big-screen adaptation of Angels and Demons will reportedly also see Ron Howard in the director’s seat once again.
Filming for the movie is said to star in June this year.
