The singer and rapper owns over 200 pairs of shoes, swears by casual jogger pants, and reveals that she hates shopping sales.

Style staple: “Comfortable joggers, ganjis with a pair of sturdy sneakers, and quirky bandanas.”

Going global: “The shopping options in India are quite run-of-the-mill. I head to London about three or four times a year with empty suitcases and come back with bags full of things from Primark, Topshop, and sometimes I even shop from quaint, second-hand stores.”

Back to school: The only things I buy in Mumbai are bandanas, usually from flea markets, and Lokhandwala Market. I loved bandanas even when I was in school. I still remember how I hated my school skirts, so I’d wear pants with untucked shirts and top the whole thing off with playful bandanas. I’d often get into trouble for it.”

Bag it: “I’m the type of girl who’s always running around. So, I go for Louis Vuitton or Chanel, simply because they are more durable.”

Easy does it: “While I love shiny accessories, my outfits are simple. I like comfortable white pathan suits or kurta pyjamas, paired with chappals. For weddings, I combine bling-y jewellery with a safe, unfussy sari.”

Shopping saga: “When I was a kid, I often indulged in things I didn’t need, just because they were pretty. Now, I only shop when I really need to, for either myself or my music videos. For my videos, I enjoy boutiques that offer one-off pieces.”

Happy feet: “I love shoes, sneakers, in particular. Even though I own over 200 hundred pairs of shoes, I use the expensive ones only for shoots.”

Dreaded discounts: “I hate sales. Forgive me, but the quality is poor, and the pushing, jostling crowd just ruins it. I also steer clear of online shopping. It’s too addictive.”
