Highlight Story

Bangaloreans helped themselves to a rich helping of high fashion as the 7th Edition of Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week-Winter Festive 2012 was held at Lalit Ashok Hotel, Bangalore from July 26 to July 29. Designers who showcased their creations included Meera Muzzafar Ali, Jatin Kocchhar and Narendra Kumar along with upcoming names.

A play on quirk

Shivani & Joy’s Saw You in My Backyard evoked much interest. The collection was about edgy silhouettes, blended with tactile details. Power-sleeved and asymmetric, free flowing dresses in warm, cheery colour palette ruled the ramp.

Invoking a resplendent past

Nupur Arora invoked the past with her collection Kothas of Irrevocable Past. The showcase featured opulent ensembles that drew inspiration from the kothas and the culture of tawaifs from the Mughal era. Striking gota, zardozi and aari work, a zingy colour palette, and a mix of traditional as well as contemporary silhouettes were some of the highlights.
