Angelina Jolie’s right leg got even more attention than the winners on Oscar night. Minutes after she got off stage, The Descendants writer Jim Rash imitated her stance and mocked her, even as his co-winners Alexander Payne and Nat Faxon looked on, embarrassed. Particularly since Jolie was the one who presented them with the award for Best Writing, Original Screenplay.

Months later, the pose has caught on in India too, and is showing no signs of fading into oblivion anytime soon.

High slit ghaghra will be on display at Cannes 2012.

Scarlet Wilson shook a leg in a ghaghra at the music launch of Shanghai. However, the international model showed a little too much skin as she danced to the track ‘Imported kamariya’ at a suburban mall in Mumbai.

Karisma Kapoor’s Dangerous Ishhq poster was apparently inspired by the famous Angelina-Oscar pose. The actor, however, denied it.

Angie’s pose went viral overnight with enthusiastic bloggers superimposing the 36-year-old actor’s lithe leg on famous celebrities and paintings.
