The speculation regarding who will sponsor the fashion week being held under the aegis of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is finally over. Wills Lifestyle and Fiama di Wills, which have staunchly supported the fashion week over the last three years, have renewed their contract with the FDCI for the next three years as well.
For the next three years, the FDCI will have Wills Lifestyle as its title sponsor and Fiama di Wills as associate sponsor. According to FDCI president Sunil Sethi, it was a natural progression especially in the current situation.
“We have signed the contract with Wills Lifestyle on Friday and I am extremely happy to have the support from them for the coming three years as well,” Sunil says. “Both the brands have been with us for the last three years and we have had a very cordial and pleasant relationship with them.”
On the Wills Lifestyle side, it was not just the brand association that made them ink the deal with the FDCI. Says the head of Wills Lifestyle Atul Chand, “We have always been committed to supporting India’s fashion industry. We are in similar business of apparel manufacturing and we are very happy to continue our association with the fashion week and the FDCI.”
So the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is now all set to move forward with more vigour in the coming months. According to FDCI, some of the most talented names in Indian fashion will be taking part in the coming fashion week.
