Kate Moss has been unveiled as the new face of Barcelona-based fashion retailer Mango. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the British beauty will appear in the Barcelona-based brand’s spring ads, joining the ranks of former Mango models Scarlett Johansson and Claudia Schiffer.
A spokesperson for the brand said that the always-chic Moss will help the label “become an aspirational brand.”
“Kate Moss was chosen as the image of Mango because she is a world-famous fashion icon, making her one of the most sought-after models in the fashion world,” the New York Daily News quoted the spokesperson as saying.
This will be Moss’s first big ad campaign as a married woman. The 38-year-old model married The Kills’ guitarist Jamie Hince in a country ceremony last summer.
Moss is also a designer, creating collections for British retailer Topshop and luxury goods brand Longchamp.
