Celebrity make-up expert Mickey Contractor, who accompanied Priyanka Chopra to Brazil for the shoot of Khatron Ke Khiladi X 3, admits that make-up kept the actor’s skin consistent throughout the 20-day schedule.

"Priyanka’s skin was burnt every day because she was out in the sun, sometimes for a few hours and sometimes for the whole day. The sun is too harsh on the skin in such countries, and I had to work carefully on her make-up because maintaining consistency throughout the show was a must," he says.

Chopra also maintained her skin by using toners, vitalisers and lotions in the right proportion. "I had to keep my skin hydrated to protect it in the hot climate. With Mickey around, I didn’t have to worry too much. My trainer Nadir ensured that my diet and exercise were on track. Otherwise, you lose weight and complexion ‘effortlessly’ in such countries and that’s unhealthy," says Chopra.

Priyanka ChopraWhile the actor shot episodes featuring action and reaction stunts, the celebrated make-up artist got rid of his own fear too. "It’s Fear Factor. For one of the stunts, the production team had arranged for a combination of pythons, worms and cockroaches. I found them, especially the python, very creepy. But when I saw these little girls take them head on, I decided to touch a python. During the break, I caressed one. After that, we became friends," laughs Contractor.

Would he like to participate in the show, maybe in the next season? Contractor refuses it outright: “No way am I doing a show of this nature. I got rid of my fear of creepy crawlies. I felt brave when I watched a couple of girls perform deadly stunts without making any fuss. But I don’t think I’d want to perform stunts on national TV.”
