Making Delhi a safe city

In an effort to raise a voice against sexual harassment in the Capital, HT launched the Safe in the City campaign on March 15. Hundreds of youngsters have joined in and vouched their support online. Now, Delhi’s fashion fraternity too has become a part of the campaign and told us who according to them are the ‘Real Men’.

Delhi Speaks...
A police officer once commented “to avoid being sexually assaulted, women should not dress provocatively.” We need to change this mindset to make the city a safer place for women.
— Rahul Garg

Delhi has become hell for women. If given a choice, I would not want to stay here. Change is what we should aim at and with this campaign, I am sure we will be able to achieve that change.
— Parvesh Sharma

I was once heading to a metro station and all of a sudden, a bunch of seven to eight boys surrounded me and started shouting. I managed to escape as I was lucky, but the city is not at all safe.
— Shweta Dhyani

HT City is doing a great job through this campaign. Not only Delhi, but all of India should become safe for women. I have pledged my support and hope all youngsters do the same.
- Jyoti Kapoor

Delhi is very unsafe for women and I think the law and order is a big reason for it. Once we are able to tackle this problem, the city will not only become safer, but a lot better.
- Ramesh Kohli
