Guys, summer is almost here, which means it’s time for a cool new swanky hairstyle. However, with the rising temperature, you need a hairstyle that makes it easier to deal with the heat, sweat and at the same time is easy to maintain.

And if you are looking for inspiration for your next uber-cool cut then, look no further than these Hollywood celebrities.

1) Buzz-cut

Actor Aaron Paul looks suave in a buzz-cut.

The most summer-friendly haircut with low maintenance is the buzz-cut. You can get the cut by using electric clippers. If you want to add a bit of variation to this cut, then ask for a fade on the back or the side, or opt for one grade above the top. You don’t require any particular styling but since the hair is short, it can give you a dry scalp. Use hair oil to prevent dryness and use conditioner. It works well with most face shapes. Add a stubble to accentuate the cut.

“ Nice and short at the sides and the back, a full buzzed head kept military short always looks cool in summer. These styles are comfortable and chic as well,” says Ambika Pillai, hairstylist and make-up artist

2) Side sweep

Actor Ryan Gosling looks handsome as always with his side sweep hairstyle.

A timeless cut for all seasons, this will give you a breezy look during the hot weather. It’s neither too short nor too long on the sides and back, the hair just rests above the ears. It provides texture to your hair, giving it a soft and silky feel. For styling, use a hair cream, so that the sweep of the hair stays in one place. If you have thick, wavy or curly hair; round or square face, we suggest you go for this.

3) The crop

Actor Daniel Craig always opts for the crop cut.

The crop is for all silver-foxes, the older men who like to flaunt their whites. The crop usually features a gradual taper on the back and the sides and is close to the head. To get the texture, go for a slightly longer length on top rather than the sides and the back. For styling, all you need is your hands. Use your hands to gently stroke the hair left or right from front. The crop goes well with thick hair and a round face cut.

4) The slick back

Actor Brad Pitt shows you how to pull of the slick back with ease.

Considered to be the most popular cut of the modern era, what gives this cut an edge over others is its versatility. The slick back is your classic cut — short on the back and side, complimented with a smart side parting. The top is always kept longer and styled as a quiff. For styling, we would say a damp look is the best option, so opt for a wet gloss hair gel. This hairstyle suits all kinds of hair texture and face cuts.

“The ‘faded taper’ cut is in trend globally. It doesn’t need any particular face shape or hair texture. Typically, the top is longer with the perimeter being faded out so maintenance is easy. Square hairlines that needed weekly trims are out of fashion now,” says Rod Anker, hair and beauty expert

5) Side parting

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio looks effortlessly cool in side parting for the movie The Wolf of Wall Street.

The side parting is just the ideal retro look for summer. It’s easy on the eye and even easier to maintain. If you want the side parting, then keep the sides and back even and short but the top should be as long as possible. For styling, use a damp comb to get the parting and comb diagonally backwards. Side parting is ideal for people who have straight and soft hair. The cut suits people with long or round face cut.

6) The quiff

Take inspiration from David Beckham if you want to opt for the quiff.

The legendary musician Elvis Presley brought this style into limelight, but former English football player David Beckham has made this hairstyle a rage in the past few years. Keep the length of the hair on the top and its length medium and not too long for summers. The back and sides are short and tapered. For styling, you can part your quiff left or right or keep it messy. It goes with every kind of hair and with every face cut except long ones.
