Deepika

Ever fancied wearing the same top that Deepika Padukone wears in

Karthik Calling Karthik

? Or maybe know the secret to the dapper suit donned by Madhavan in the upcoming

Teen Patti

. And bikers will surely want to know how much it will cost to replicate Vivek Oberoi’s biker suit in

Prince.

Designers and stylists from the above-mentioned flicks give us a sneak peek. Ameira Punvani, stylist for

Teen Patti

, says that one of the most inexpensive, yet sleek items sported by the actors, was a watch worn by Amitabh Bachchan, for Rs 300.

“The scene called for a rustic look on Amitabh Bachchan. I scouted all of Chor Bazaar to find that piece,” says Punvani. -Also, a particular Italian suit, donned by Madhavan didn't come as cheap. The material was sourced from Gabbana at Khar. “One has to select the material from the swatches on display and the fabric will be imported from Italy within two weeks,” says Punvani. While she doesn’t reveal the exact price of the suit, “Madhavan made it look like a million bucks.”

Narendra Kumar Ahmed, designer cum stylist for the Vivek Oberoi starrer

Prince

, says that the leather biker suit that Oberoi wears for most of the movie was one of the most expensive costumes.

“Each suit cost us approximately Rs 30,000 and we had at least six of them made. Since Prince is an action movie, we had to have a fresh suit ready, in case one tore,” says Ahmed. The bikinis worn by the leading ladies cost him an approximate Rs 3,500 each. “The bikinis were imported from a foreign brand,” he says.

But the most imitable style is that of Deepika Padukone's in

Karthik Calling Karthik

. The film has tied up with departmental store Shoppers Stop to introduce the merchandise in its outlets. And courtesy an ongoing sale, the line of office wear tops, summer skirts and party tops can be availed at Rs 299 onwards.
