#nowtrending: Who needs pants when you’ve got waist-high boots

Last year, it was all about riding the thigh-high wave. From Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone to Parineeti Chopra — even our Bollywood baes had hopped on to the trendwagon happily. But, you know, style evolves and similarly, designer collections and the subsequent trends. So, while boots that would climb to the thigh would make up your social feed, ‘tis the season of their waist-high variant. And, invariably, the first pair that comes to mind is the pair of orange satin boots, a result of a collaboration between Vetements and iconic footwear brand Manolo Blahnik. Where, you think, have you seen them before? Well, on pop queen Rihanna, model Kendall Jenner and fashion influencers on Instagram who can afford to flaunt the $4,590 (Almost ₹3 lakh) pair.
Popular e-commerce hub Net-A-Porter reveals that the boots are made in Italy and the boots are lined in smooth beige leather. Maison Margiela did the daring boot too, last season.

Luxury French brand, Balenciaga, also put the variant on the fashion map with their Spring/Summer, Pre-Fall and Fall/Winter 2017 collection. Other brands too, including Balmain, have added to the trend.
