Highlight Story

As nude tones become a hot trend worldwide, we take a look at some celebrities seen donning this hue.

-Deepika Padukone- 8/10 - Wore a blush pink jersey draped gown at an event in Mumbai.

Deep Kailey — Fashion Editor, Vogue [8.5/10]
Deepika looks stunning; the colour of the dress really compliments her skin tone beautifully and that accessories have been kept to a minimum.
Namrata Joshipura — Designer [8/10]
I like the colour on her golden tan skin and the strapless gown looks great on her super-firm body. The casual chic hair completes the glam look.
Pernia Qureshi — Fashion Stylist [7/10]
It’s a beautiful Grecian silhouette that shows of her toned arms. The colour flatters her dusky skin. The hair could have been a little more glamorous. Also, I don’t love the earrings, it’s very cliched.

Deepika Padukone-Leighton Meester- 7/10 - Wore a short draped dress at a an event in New York City

Deep Kailey [8/10]

As much as Leighton’s look is very chic, there is also a playful element to it with the pink lips, matching necklace and bracelet. It’s brave.

Namrata Joshipura [7/10]

The length of the dress, colour and accessories is just right. The hair and make-up is refreshing.

Pernia Qureshi [5/10]

I don’t like this dress much. Very ill-fitted on the bust and does nothing for her. Also, not a fan of the limp hair and the necklace as it adds nothing to the look.

-Keira Knightley - 8/10 - Donned a couture dress at a film premiere in London

Deep Kailey [9/10]
Keira looks glamorous and fresh in the nude hue. I love the no-fuss approach to her attire, which is complimented greatly with her hair and make-up.
Namrata Joshipura [5/10]
The colour of the dress is nice but the pearl detailing is over-the-top. I like the shape of the shoes, but metallic or neutral hues would have looked better.
Pernia Qureshi [9/10]
I just love this dress. It’s glamorous, young and fits like a dream. But the only thing I would suggest is that shoes that are a little more delicate and not as chunky.

-Freida Pinto- 7/10 - Wore camel tone separates at an event for the London Film Festival

Deep Kailey [8/10]
Freida looks very chic in this high-waisted skirt and chiffon blouse. Minimal accessories and
contrast black heels add a bit of a modern feel.
Namrata Joshipura [4/10]
I do not like this look. The mid-knee length of the skirt is strange. The black shoes do not work with this outfit either.
Pernia Qureshi [8/10]
Love this chic tailored look. The colour looks lovely on her skin. A neater hairdo would have looked better.
