So, you have that board meeting today, and your girlies are insisting you go club hoppin’ with them after that. But you don’t know how to go from corporate cool to cocktail chic? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Just re-instill some fun spirit in that envelope clutch and with a few vanity tricks and wardrobe hacks up your sleeves, your diva mode can be switched on faster than you can say “let’s party!”

Dress to impress
Who has the time to dress up to work? If that’s what you are thinking, it’s time to learn a few styling tricks for when you have to step out later. The sexy sheath might be inappropriate for the office presentation, but you can make it work-appropriate with layering. A chevron print summer jacket and a low ponytail can do the trick. If you’re a pants person, tone down the party appeal by topping your crop top and high-waist pants ensemble with a tucked-in pinstriped boyfriend shirt on top.

Jamming with jewels
A coveted neckpiece, signature pair of earstuds, metallic collar tips, a stack of midi rings or a fusion haath phool — accessorise to step out of the work-box.

Lip service
With a single application of your favourite lip colour, you can light up your look instantly. Vital picks for your bucket bag include a bright hue, and its darker counterpart. To get out of work-mode, sculpt your lips with a raspberry red to go with a monochrome look or pick an indulgent shade of cinnamon brown to off-set the colours on your dress. An eyeshadow can also go a long way — not only to pad up your eyelids, but to turn a glossy colour to night-perfect matte. This can be done just by brushing over the glossy hue with a cotton swab treated with the eyeshadow.

On the right foot
A good pair of heels can even make your denims look dressy. If you know you have to move from workplace to a party pad, make your job easier by switching your oxfords with a pair of kitten heels for the day. If the thought of wearing heels throughout the day at work stresses you out, choose wisely. Go for wedge heels or comfy platforms that you can pair with a crisp white shirt and high-waisted, curve-hugging denims.
