With wedding season at peak, here are some make-up tips for brides.
1 Dreamy eyes: Gold mixed with dark shades such as brown and burgundy look nice in winter; but they have to be blended neatly. The eyeliner — a must — could be black, green or deep blue. Light-coloured mascara adds depth to your eyes. Don’t use heavy pencils or dark shadows to define your brows as they look too harsh.
2 The perfect pout: Choose shades that pep up your skin tone. A mix of soft peach and orange is a good choice for brides with a lighter skin tone. For those with a darker skin tone, a mix of beige and brown is ideal. Don’t forget to top it up with hint of gloss. Steer clear of dark lip liners for defining your lips. Avoid too pale colours or too bright colours.
3 Highlight your cheek bones: For oily skin, powder blushes is the perfect choice, but if your skin tends is dry, try a cream blush to get a dewy natural glow. Never apply a glitter blush as the shine will get enhanced in your wedding pictures and make your face appear oily. For brides with darker skin tone copper blush topped up with a slight bronzer does the trick. If you have a lighter skin tone, go for colours such as peach or soft baby pink for day time functions. For the night you can opt for slightly darker shades.
