The Marie Claire fashion awards, held at the Leela Kempinski Hotel in Gurgaon, saw the city’s most fashionable flocking for some fun. Awards were handed out to the biggest names in the fashion industry, while a handful of designers showcased an eco fashion collection on the ramp. Actor Deepika Padukone, the chief guest for the evening, made an early exit quietly, giving a miss to the media waiting outside.
Fashion designer Ritu Kumar got the Lifetime Achievement award, designer Gaurav Gupta got the award for Best Designer Indianwear (under 10 years), while Little Shilpa got the Best Accessory Designer award.
Others seen enjoying the revelry included designers Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Vijay Arora, Manav Gangwani, entrepreneur Kalyani Saha Chawla, Sanjay Sharma and actor Neena Gupta, who was accompanied by her daughter, Masaba.
