Rihanna has hit back at claims that she used an Irish model as her body double in an Armani advertisement. The Barbadian singer took to her Twitter account to vent out her anger.
With a body that most women would envy, the 24-year-old popstar hit the roof when a newspaper claimed she had used a look-a-like to feature in a sexy Armani advert, which had been filmed earlier this year.
Rihanna took exception to the article written by The Sun and launched a foul mouthed tirade against the newspaper.
“Ok @thesunnewspaper, this is the only way I could say this to you!!! F*** YOU....AND yo baggy ass condom,” the Daily Mail quoted her as writing.According to The Sun, Irish model Jahnassa Aicken is the other woman who bares her body in a pair of designer knickers. However, Rihanna’s management reportedly made her sign an order banning her from speaking about the fact that she was used as a double.
“Jahnassa’s torso, body and bum appear in parts of the ad,” a source told the newspaper.
According to the Talk That Talk singer, however, it is purely her in the minute long video and she has never even heard of the Irish model before now and said on Twitter: “Who is Jahnassa.”
The Umbrella hitmaker’s rant didn’t help matters though, as Aicken began to trend world wide as Rihanna’s 20 million followers started speaking about the model.
Still defiant that she did not use a body double, the singer questioned her new nemesis and said: “Does she have a tat on her hand too.” After calming down Rihanna realised that she may have over reacted to the whole situation and added: “Ok enough of that! I coulda been more clever about it, but I was lazy.”
The advert in question shows Rihanna laying in a large double bed on her own wearing black lace underwear as she appears to have a nightmare. It then cuts to her getting out of bed as she picks up the telephone and then slips into a pair of Armani jeans and a leather jacket.
The close-up shots of the singer’s derriere and of her bust are said to belong to Aicken - not Rihanna.
Aicken - who is signed to Style Academy Model Agency - is said to have received a “modest sum” for the job, and was first spotted by Rihanna’s people in a crowd during the filming of her ‘We Found Love’ music video in Northern Ireland.
