Delhi may just see the best body in business scorching the ramp at the upcoming menswear fashion week. Actor John Abraham, who has not cat-walked in the Capital in years, is tipped to be the showstopper for designer Rohit Bal’s grand finale show to be held on August 29.
Although the actor remained tight-lipped about what he’ll be wearing, citing an embargo, the organisers, Fashion Design Council of India, are upbeat about the glamour he’ll add to the event. “John is the brand ambassador of event sponsors, Van Heusen, and his presence will be a big highlight,” said Sunil Sethi, President FDCI.
Rohit Bal refused to confirm the news, saying there are no Bollywood stars in his show “as of now.” The three-day event, to take place during 27-29 August at Delhi’s The Grand hotel, will see 16 designers showcasing the latest trends in menswear.
Also showing is filmmaker-designer Karan Johar, who, when asked whether his filmy friends will walk the ramp for him, said, “No Bollywood for me. Fashion is the ramp and clothes are the showstopper.”
