Fifteen celebrity sibling pairs will walk the ramp for designer Sanjana Jon’s debut show at the upcoming Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.

The show — a “subtle” tribute by Sanjana to her jailed brother Anand Jon, who is serving 59 years in a US jail for sexually harassing aspiring models — marks her debut as a designer in India.

Titled ‘Fashion with a Heart’, the collection will see actor Salman Khan walk the ramp with a sibling, Sushmita Sen with brother Rajiv Sen, sisters Riya and Raima Sen, composers Sajid-Wajid, musicians Amaan and Ayaan Ali, Shibani Kashyap and brother, TV actors Rohit and Ronit Roy, actress Mink with brother Punu, boxer Vijender Singh and chess champion Tania Sachdev.

Sanjana maintains that as the name of the collection suggests, “It’s not just about fashion, it’s beyond that. My line is dedicated to a social cause — ‘save the girl child’.” Ask her if she is looking for support for her brother through this collection and she quickly adds, “I don’t want to make it loud. The collection is about family and siblings and that is what matters. It is just a subtle hint.” Sanjana, who went through a tumultuous period with her brother’s sentence verdict in the US, says she is happy to be back in India. “India is my family, it’s home. For me, this is not just about fashion. It’s beyond that.”

Upbeat about her debut show and looking for “immense support”, Sanjana says, “I believe in looking at brighter things in life. Wo kehte hain na, bhagwan ke ghar main der hai, andher nahi.”
