Before she wowed Indian audiences with her Dabangg debut, Sonakshi Sinha was busy studying fashion designing. So when, a few days ago, the actor was invited to the Paris Fashion Week, she was, quite understandably, over the moon. What’s more is that the Bollywood actor got to rub shoulders with the likes of Hollywood star Uma Thurman and celebrated American designer, Marc Jacobs.

“To say the least, it was fantastic. It was simply a great experience since it happened so early in my career. I watched the fashion show sitting with Uma Thurman. And Kate Moss walked the ramp! I also met Marc Jacobs backstage after the show. It felt absolutely surreal,” she says.

The Dabangg girl feels the entire experience was “out-of-the-world” since she met icons she has looked up to her entire life.

Ask her why she preferred to be so tightlipped about her rendezvous and she says, “People, who need to know and should be told, are aware of it. Louis Vuitton had taken me to the fashion week, and they must have done their bit to promote the fact.”

However, Shotgun junior confesses that she’s not one to gloat. “I don’t like going out and blowing my own trumpet. I like to let my work do the talking. Tonnes of stories about me come out everyday, but I think it’s best not to react at all,” says Sonakshi, adding that she met ‘good friend’ Sania Mirza recently, after a long time.

“We meet very rarely. Sania’s always traveling. She was in Mumbai a few days ago and I met her for dinner,” says the actor. About their friendship, she adds, “We think similarly and it’s always nice to interact with someone who has tasted success so early in life. I love tennis and I used to play the sport as a kid,” says the actor, who is currently busy shooting for Son Of Sardar with Ajay Devgn in Punjab.
