It was a big moment for Indian fashion as international designer Karl Lagerfeld's brought India to Paris Fashion Week with his Paris-Bombay collection. B-Town's very own style diva Sonam Kapoor and internationaaly-acclaimed actor Freida Pinto witnessed the event with style and grace.

B-Town's very own style diva Sonam Kapoor and internationally-acclaimed actor Freida Pinto graced designer Karl Lagerfeld's fashion show. He presented his Paris-Bombay collection during the Metiers D'Art show for Chanel.

Chanel’s Metiers d'Art show saw the Grand Palais in Paris transformed into an Indian-themed dinner party on Tuesday. Guests sat at banquet tables, which doubled as a runway, complete with chandeliers, opulent candlesticks - and a feast fit for a Maharaja.

The show was launched in 2003 as homage to the label's workshop.

Models, adorned with accessories including head-jewellery and turbans - also for men - walked the epic runway sporting the 2012 pre-fall collection.

Creative director Karl Lagerfeld appeared to spare no expense for the latest Chanel extravaganza.

The star of the show was Stella Tennant, who was voted model of the year at the Bristish Fashion Awards recently, accompanied the designer on the runway.

However, even after the show got over there is no respite for Karl, who is obsessed with his work, he doesn’t even plan on taking time off for Christmas.

“Everyone I know is leaving [Paris], but I stay home because it’s the only moment I can work on the Couture quietly, sketch, and take care of my books and houses- all the things I never have time to do the rest of the year,” the Daily Mail quoted the designer as telling Style.com.

“For me the ultimate luxury is to be alone, to have time for myself, not look at my watch, and do whatever I want, whenever I want,” he added.
