Juttis are one of the most versatile footwear there is. They are a hit not just in India but at major international fashion shows too. So there is no reason for you to let it rust in your shoe rack this festive season.

Shirin Mann Sangha, creative director of a major footwear label, shares tips on how you can experiment with good old juttis and make it the legit representative of high-street fashion.

* Shirt dresses and culottes have been a trend all this summer, you can up your game by pairing these with our chic denim juttis or better try combining your favourite printed dress with floral graphic juttis.

* Your boxy kurta and crop tops with cigarette pants will look super cute with pastel tones and undertones of gold with light pearl and bead embroidery for all your Sunday brunches and dates.

* Wear trendy motif based footwear with pretty flamingos and umbrellas to go with simple georgette and chiffon tops and tunics to stand out. Pump up your off-shoulder and cold shoulders with rolled up or cropped denims to go with colourful pom pom juttis or fringed footwear.

* With the festivities coming in, go all out and ditch your heels for better comfort with flower cut sequins and heavily embellished juttis with beautiful gold dabka, mirror and tilla work to be paired with your lovely dhoti pants and draped sarees.

* For a breezy look, pair a mint or a powder pink jutti with tissue and organza fabrics in light colours. We have designed a special bridal jutti with traditional palanquins or doli motif for the bride brigade to go with all your bridal wear.

* If you fancy glamour and want to look like a diva for all the card parties this season, go glam with elements like svarowskis and rhinestones on your footwear for a mature yet trendy look.

* If you are a fan of Mughal silhouettes like me, pair your elegant and deep coloured shararas and ghararas with fuschia, red and gold ghungroo juttis this Diwali.
