If you want to do your make-up without any mess and with style, stick-on make up may be an ideal solution. Not only nails, your eyes can also get an instant makeover with liner patterns that are difficult to achieve with your staple eye pen. Fake eyelashes are passe, you can indulge in curled liners, coloured double strands and more. Glam divas can also play with leopard or caviar lipstickers.
American singer Jennifer Lopez sported caviar lips in a music video; Jessie J and Lady Gaga often flaunt their perfect lips and nails. So, if you thought celebrities painstakingly go through hours of make up sessions, now you know that the slap-on make-up usually does the trick for them. Now, the trend is in demand by city fashionistas. “Stick-on lipsticks and eye shadows are popular among college girls to wear during fresher parties,” says beauty expert Aashmeen Munjaal, adding that leopard and rainbow coloured eye shadow stickers, caviar nails and glitter lips are a hit among the youngsters. Although only available in the city markets under dubious brands, you can order yours online.
No child’s play
Using paste-on make-up that saves time and allows experimenting may seem easy, but it’s rarely so. The quantity of adhesive and blending it to look natural is best left to experts. “Often, these stickers have to be cut according to your eye or lip shape, which can be tricky,” says Munjaal.
Amateurish use of make up stickers can damage your skin, as the adhesive for nail stickers is the same as that for lips and eyes, where the skin is more sensitive. “These stickers stretch the skin, making it age early. Our fingernails are tough, so using stickers there is safer,” says beauty expert Raveela Sharma. You can nourish your skin after using make up stickers by applying extra virgin olive oil to the area.
