International Polytechnic for Women (IPW) hosted its annual fashion show, Kaleidoscope 2011 on March 4, at the NCUI auditorium. High on fashion and creativity, 95 designers presented 17 collections on a variety of themes, such as Patience is a Virtue and On your way to become a Women. Custom-made designs with a range of fabrics like cotton, silk, crisp cuts and silhouettes were used. “Each collection has been planned with an underlying theme and the results show that full justice is done to the theme given,” says Sanjana Kalra, executive director at IPW.
The jury comprised fashion designer Charu Parasher and Abdul Halder, dancer Kaushalya Reddy and cosmetologist Blossom Kochhar. Leena Singh of the Ashima-Leena label was the guest of honour.
The show was choreographed and hosted by Kaushik Ghosh. The gala evening was a mix of glitz and glamour, where supermodels Amanpreet Wahi, Krishna Somani, Sarayu Singh and Sangya walked the ramp.
