“I came in contact with the designers 8-9 years ago when we both had a store at 1MG Road. I like their sensibilities, which is Indian contemporary yet extremely international. Their creations also makes for a perfect travel wardrobe. The scarves I own from Abraham + Thakore are great to carry while travelling as they take you back to the intrinsic craftsmanship without the ethnic look. At their shows I am excited to see how they have interpreted the Indian craftsmanship in their clothes and their shoes. The shoes are always very unique.”
Abraham+Thakore show is on February 17 at 7.15pm

Really looking forward to one of my most favorite designers Gaurav Gupta. Always expect something out-of-the-box and uber stylish from him. I met him two years ago at his DLF Emporio mall store, and I fell in love with the drapes and how the garments fit a woman’s body. I have worn his clothes for over 20 appearances, and every time I get clicked in his garments people ask me who the designer is.

I love Kallol because he is crazy, different, and wild yet designs with a minimal approach. I love how he uses motifs that are not common or beautiful in idea, and he makes beautiful patterns out of them on the fabric’s flat surface. I am rooting for him at this fashion week. We are from the same hometown (Kolkata). He is much younger than me and I really want him to do well.”
Kallol Datta 1955 show is on February at 4:30pm
Rajshree Pathy, founder India Design Forum (IDF)
This time I am looking at a fairly new designer. Jenjum is new, young, energetic and I am quite excited to know what he has done this time. I own a few garments from him as I have seen his previous shows as well. I think he holds great promise. He has impressed me with his cuts, materials that he uses and the feminine feel the garments embody. Hopefully, I will ask him to make something new for me to wear at the India Design Forum.
