It’s that time of the year again, when the fashion frat is all set to showcase their months’ of hard work during the upcoming Will Lifestyle India Fashion Week (April 6-10). But any fashion week regular will tell you that fashion week is as much about some serious partying. A source reveals that compared to normal days, alcohol consumption rose by 40% during after show parties of WIFW last season. Some models tell us how they recharge themselves for a day of hard work after a night of serious partying. Here’s how we handle it

Alesia Raut
“I don’t drink at all even if I go to an after show party. However, the fatigue part definitely remains. Fresh fruit juice in the morning, with a heavy breakfast and proteins prep me up for a day of hard work. I also try and take 20-minute power naps between the shows.”

Shawar Ali
“During fashion weeks I follow a very simple mantra to take care of my ‘fatigue hangover’ — a good session in the gym early morning. I follow it up with a steam bath for 15 minutes. If I still feel the effects of the hangover, I use ice massage to chuck off those puffy eyes.”

Nethra Raghuraman
“At any after show party during the fashion week, I make sure that I am stuffed with enough food which would help detoxify the side effects of alcohol. Also, a wholesome breakfast with a strong cup of coffee, the next morning, helps me rev up for the day ahead. It’s a myth that hangover is caused only by alcohol. Fashion weeks are all about long exhausting days. During the shows there are quick changes with no time to rest in between. All this takes a toll on your body.”

Tony Luke
“Though it might sound strange to some but I believe that after a day’s hard work, parties are a must. After slogging the entire day, a tired mind craves for some recharge. And yes, for any visible side effects of a late night — God bless the makeup artists!”

Anchal Kumar
“When fashion weeks started, at times there were contractual obligation to attend after show parties. I tackle fatigue or hangover with good sleep and proper food. I don’t believe in starving myself. Food, which is rich on protein and low on carbs, keeps the dizziness away.”
