A la ‘Dangal’, Bollywood mulls movie on Aizawl FC coach Khalid Jamil

As per a news report, talks are currently underway over a proposed movie on Aizawl FC’s I-League title-winning head coach Khalid Jamil, and is likely to be titled ‘Zero to Hero’

After a fairytale I-League campaign that saw Aizawl FC lift the Indian top-flight title in April, club head coach Khalid Jamil could be the subject of a new Bollywood movie.

As per a report by Air India Radio News, talks are currently underway over the proposed movie, which is likely to be titled ‘Zero to Hero’.

Ajay Devgn will be playing the lead role of Jamil in the movie, according to Aizawl FC owner Robert Romawia Royte.

Royte made the disclosure while speaking on the occasion of World Aids Orphans Day organised by a local NGO in Aizawl on Saturday.

In recent years, there have been a number of movies based on real life sports events/figures in Bollywood.

While ‘Chak de India!’ was loosely based on the Indian women’s hockey team’s 2002 Commonwealth Games campaign and was a huge hit, biopics like ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Dangal’ have also enjoyed tremendous success in recent years.
