Former footballer Gianluca Zambrotta is game for more than just the sport in India. The Italian defender would love to participate in a reality show in the country.

“I had the chance to be part of an adventure show on the White Mountain in Europe and I’m happy to say I won. I’d be excited to get a chance to be part of a new programme here in India,” says Zambrotta, who’s enjoying his stay in India.

“I saw India Gate and the Red Fort. It was very spectacular for me! I also had the opportunity to try several Indian dishes. I really appreciate the chicken tikka and the cheese naan. These two are my favourites at the moment!” says the 39-year-old Barcelona legend.

Coaching the Delhi Dynamos team, the retired professional footballer has played matches in the Capital. All praise for Indian football fans, he says: “It was a big opportunity to play in an Indian stadium. Fortunately, it was full. Fans here have a big passion for football, and the crowd in the stadium is increasing each year. It’s also very nice to see how happy they are to receive me.”

Ask Zambrotta if the increasing fan following is because of association of Bollywood actors such as Ranbir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan, and he says, “It will be very interesting to combine some famous Indian actors with football.”
