The excitement has spilled out to the various social media platforms of HT GIFA, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. Throughout the contests ongoing in all the digital platforms, this year’s participant hopefuls have been actively and consistently engaged with HT GIFA. The winners of the recent ‘Face of HT GIFA’ contest were also invited for an exclusive photoshoot to get featured in all of HT GIFA promotional features across print, digital and outdoors.

The most awaited and the biggest inter-locality football tournament in Delhi-NCR — HT GIFA — has seen tremendous inflow of registrations since its launch last week on the website htgifa.hindustantimes.com. Over 50% of the team slots have been registered from various localities across Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Ghaziabad with just a week remaining for the deadline.

Since HT GIFA is not restricted to the capital, parents in the NCR region too get to watch their kids excel on the field.(HT Photo)

That means the tournament is well on its way to surpass the record of last year, when 459 teams registered.

“Getting featured for something I am passionate about is a dream come true for me. Football is and will always remain my passion and I whole-heatedly thank Hindustan Times for coming up with such a great initiative to promote this sport in India,” said Rachit Jain, one of the winners of the Face of HT GIFA after the photoshoot. Due to the huge inflow of teams and the excitement around HT GIFA, the teams who would be given an opportunity to play in the actual tournament would be limited. So, get your team ready and register on htgifa.hindustantimes.com now before its too late! The last date for registration is August 5.

Good coverage

HT also ensures that the tournament is regularly covered in our publications, ensuring that not only do the readers become more aware, but at the same time, star performers get a chance to be in the limelight.

“Getting featured in a big and reputed media house like Hindustan Times really gave me a taste of what early success feels like and it has motivated me to go that extra mile at every stage in my life,” Arnav Jain of Team Nirvana Skill Blazers (Gurgaon Senior 2015 winners) said.

Parents happy

Today, newspaper columns are either dedicated to cricket, or big European football leagues. HT changes that with GIFA, with the tournament getting regular coverage in our print publications, online, and on social media. This, of course, has made parents happy.

“Watching my son Adit play and excel in the HT GIFA brought immense joy to us all. We are very proud of his achievements and hope that he will continue to succeed at everything in life — HT GIFA has certainly given him the confidence to do so,”Mr Aggarwal whose child was part of last year’s winning team in the Senior category, said.

And since HT GIFA is not restricted to the capital, parents in the NCR region too get to watch their kids excel on the field.

“I wholeheartedly thank Hindustan Times for organizing such a wonderful event which has undoubtedly brought parents and their children much closer. Hope that HT comes up with more initiatives like this and gives a platform to all deserving talented kids,” Mrs Jain, a parent of last year’s winning team from Gurgaon said.

This year too, matches will take place on weekends, making it easier for kids to participate and not miss school.

With such brilliant feedback, HT GIFA 2016 can be expected to be even bigger than last year. So make sure to register before the registration closes.
