Former Turkish international Tuncay Sanli continued his good form as his powerful header in the 72nd minute helped FC Pune City register a thrilling 3-2 victory over Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League (ISL) game on Tuesday.
The game saw a total of four headers, starting from Mohammed Rafi’s 1st minute opener for Kerala. Nigerian striker Kalu Uche, however, equalised for Pune in the 16th, through a header. He gave Pune the lead with a 23rd minute strike.
Rafi, however, scored yet again through a header to restore parity, in the 30th minute before Sanli’s decisive header.
The win took the David Platt-coached Pune City side past Chennaiyin FC to the top of the eight-team league.
Blasters are languishing at the bottom of the table.
